Louis Gershner

Louis Gershner, Jr., 89, of North Little Rock passed away December 29, 2015 in New Port Richey, Florida. He was retired as North Little Rock assistant Post Master and also worked at the Rebsamen Golf Course and the War Memorial Golf Course pro-shops. Louis was of the Baptist faith and a World War II Army Veteran.
He is survived by his two children, Stephen Gershner (Donna) and Jean Anne Hester (Curt), and a step-daughter, Louann Garrett (Bob); three grandchildren, David Gershner (Kelli), Laura Duran (Lynn) and Alex Hester (Stephanie); and his sister, Helen Uekman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Gershner, Sr. and Lula Wise Gershner; and three sisters: Adeline Haynes, Dot Spivey and Mary Ann Wells; his first wife and mother of his children, Norma Jean Williams Gershner; and second wife Carolyn McGee Gershner.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home.
