Louis M. Caldarera, former owner of Calco Distributors, Inc. and Markham Street Liquor, will long be remembered as a dear friend and family man. He passed away on December 12, 2018 in Little Rock at the age of 82.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama to Mike and Josephine Pillitteri Caldarera, he attended Loyola University in Los Angeles and graduated from Christian Brothers College in Memphis before returning to Little Rock to run a family-owned business.

Louis was passionate about faith, family, friends, and football. He loved the Cowboys, the Razorbacks, and especially the Catholic High Rockets where he was recognized as an all-state player in 1953 and Alumnus of the Year in 2013.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Judy Collins Caldarera; sons, Michael Caldarera (Susan) of Marble Falls, Arkansas, Patrick Caldarera (Dana) of Longview, Texas and Keith Caldarera (Allison) of Little Rock; sister, Vita deBin (Bob) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Blake Caldarera, Trevor Caldarera, Josie Caldarera, Abby Caldarera and Adam Grubb; nieces and nephews, Renee Rittelmeyer (Scott), Robert deBin (Martha), Richelle Daniel (Ed) and Chris deBin (Nancy); and a host of other family and friends.

The Rosary will be held on Sunday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m., followed by visitation until 4:00 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham, Little Rock, 72212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Lawrence Frederick on Monday, December 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the church, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic High School for Boys, the Carmelite Nuns (Carmel of St. Teresa) or Mount St. Mary Academy.
