Louelline Calhoun

Louelline Mikles Calhoun, 87, passed to eternal life on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, in Little Rock. She was born on December 12, 1921 in Mt. Magazine, Arkansas, to Ellis and Olive Mikles. Lou was a longtime member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock and was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. M.E. Calhoun, a noted chiropractor of North Little Rock. For many years she was a teaching leader for the women?s night class of Bible Study Fellowship, an international organization. Her love for the Lord and dedication to teaching His word led many to follow Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Nathan Calhoun and wife Diana, and Dr. Richard Calhoun and wife, Janie, all of Little Rock. Lou also leaves behind her granddaughter, Errin Calhoun Dean and husband, Dr. David Dean of North Little Rock. Her grandchildren also include Carly Calhoun Grace and husband, Ryan, of Fayetteville, Whit Calhoun and wife, Lauren, and youngest granddaughter, Meredith Calhoun, of Little Rock. Lou is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Woodrow Dean and Caroline Dean, and her step-grandson, Bo Campbell.

Visitation will be held at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170 on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Please visit online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com. Following a private burial, memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, 224-7171.
