Lorrie Chambers

Lorrie Chambers, age 69, of Bonnerdale, died Monday, October 3, 2011. She was born on December 5, 1941, at Chico, California, the daughter of Charles Smith and Dora Betty Hill Smith. On April 17, 1960, she was married to Billy Gene Chambers who preceded her in death on January 5, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her two sisters, Charlotte Cook and Nedra Eckles. She was Baptist in her faith and worked for over 31 years as a CNA at the Glenwood Nursing and Rehab. She never met a stranger and loved being a caregiver to everyone. Lorrie's greatest love was her family and she will be deeply missed by each of them and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sherri Chambers of Caddo Gap; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcie and Bill Warren of Norman and Bridgett and Carles Fant of Bonnerdale; eighteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her very special friends, Bonnie and Earnest Epperson of Glenwood, Logene Cogburn of Caddo Gap, Kelly Horn of Delight and Johana Bridges of Mountain Pine; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. James "Cub" Black officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of Glenwood Nursing and Rehab; the nurses and staff of Hospice Home Care; all of her doctors who took such good care of her; DeGray Kidney Center; her SCAT drivers; and her three loving children. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
