Lorraine E. "Liz" Kurpies, 75, of McRae, Arkansas, died Monday, January 4, 2010. Liz had recently retired from Alford's Convenience Store in Beebe. She started working at the store shortly after it was built and worked there for several years until her recent retirement.
She is survived by her children, Fury (Toby) Towns, Tom (Darlena) Orrison, Margaret Short, Corrine Orrison, Lewis Williams, Faye (Jose) Gatica and Rebecca (Peter) Kaye; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Walters and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
