Lorene Poindexter

Lorene Goff Poindexter, age 89, of McRae, Arkansas went to be with the Lord March 29, 2023.  She was born on November 23, 1933 in McRae, to Romie and Nell Goff. 

Lorene retired from the Harding University Post Office.  She was a member of the First Security Bank Club and the Golden Years Club at Westside Church of Christ – she enjoyed traveling the world with both clubs.  She attended the 16^th Section Union Church.  Lorene was a devoted wife, mother and Mamaw.

She is survived by her daughter, Myra (Jamie) Spence of McRae; three granddaughters, Erica, Andrea and Alicia; one great granddaughter, Ashlynn Lorene; dear friend, Magan; brother, Leroy (Carol) Goff of Beebe; brother-in-law, Phillip (Kay) Poindexter of McRae; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Poindexter; daughter, Stephanie Milton; brother, Charles Goff and sister, Brenda Haley.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home; followed by the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Interment is at Antioch Cemetery.
