Lorean Moss

Lorean Moss, age 94, of Glenwood, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014. She was born on May 6, 1920, at Newhope, the daughter of George Pate and Victoria Hill Pate. On March 29, 1940, she was married to Monroe Moss who preceded her in death on November 7, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles Moss; and her great-grandson, Mac Cogburn. She was a Christian in her faith. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Glen and Brenda Moss and Benny Moss, all of Glenwood; six grandchildren, Vance Moss, J. B. Moss, Shawn Moss, Jessica Runyan, Jacob Moss and Angie Cogburn; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 2, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Shawn Moss and Randy Cogburn officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Mitchell, Randy Rather, Terry Runyan, Harold Pate, Zach Moss and Don Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of the Glenwood Health and Rehab with our special thanks for all their wonderful and loving care they always gave to our precious mother.
