Lonnie Mavity

Lonnie Mavity, 68, of Beebe, Arkansas, died Monday, April 11, 2011. He was born November 22, 1942 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Jessie Mavity and Mary Ellen Seals Mavity who preceded him in death. He retired from Remington Arms after thirty-four years of loyal, dedicated service. He came to faith in Christ through salvation during his illness.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of 10 years, Barbara Mavity of Beebe; one daughter, Donna Mavity Bean and her husband David of Maumelle and their two children, Michael Keith Freeman and his wife Jennifer, and Amy Ledbetter and her husband, Jacob and son Levi Morrilton; by his daughter-in-law Melissa Mavity Schrag and her three children Kala, Kolby and Kyler of Greenbrier; by his sister Mary Nell Parker of Clarendon, brothers, Wade Mavity of Vilonia, Gene Mavity and Lester Mavity of Clarendon; two step children, Greg Hutchins and wife Cindy of Austin and their daughter Dani, and Carmen Macias and her son Matthew of Lakeland, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom he loved deeply. Lonnie was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Faye Wilson Mavity and one son, Keith Mavity; one sister, Fay Umholtz, and one brother, Larry Mavity.
The family is grateful for the care and compassion shown to them by Baptist Medical Center and White County Hospital for the care they gave Lonnie.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery, Clarendon.
