Lonn Lee Ipsen, 67, of Little Rock, passed away August 6, 2014. Born in Waukegan, Illinois, he was an accomplished and decorated high school and collegiate athlete, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education at Eastern Illinois University. He was a member of various community service groups.
Preceded in death by his parents, Leylon and Gertrude Stimphl Ipsen and a brother, Brad Ipsen, he is survived by his sons, Marshall Ipsen (Amy) of Alexander, Turner Ipsen (Amanda) and Jeff Ipsen (Mollie), of Little Rock; sisters, Christine Miller and Kathy Smith (John), and sister-in-law, Ellen Ipsen, of Illinois; grandchildren, Peyton, Mia and Ethan Ipsen of Alexander and Violet Ipsen of Little Rock; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 5:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Dustin Freeman and Rev. Carlton Cross. The family will greet friends prior to the service, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
