Lola Dollar

Lola Dollar, age 88, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. She was born on March 23, 1931 in Alice, Texas, the daughter of Johnny Clay Smith and Mae Eller Josephine Spears Smith. On November 24, 1947, she was married to Ira E. Dollar who preceded her in death on December 25, 2010. A Christian in her faith, she attended Hilltop Church in Glenwood. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and, most of all, being with and caring for her family. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Lily Langtree of Poulsbo, Washington, Dan and Deanice Dollar and Ruth and Gordon Bopp, all of Glenwood; four grandchildren, Renee Smith, Sandi Wright, Aaron Bopp and Jennifer Bopp; six great-grandchildren, Andrea Atkins, Cole Dunn, Ashlyn Bopp, Crystal Smith, Madison Smith and Emily Balliette; three great-great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Ethan and Evelyn Atkins; her brother, Junior Smith of Kirby; her sister, Elmeda Hancock of Glenwood; and her nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Rick Mays officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Coker Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan Dollar, Gordon Bopp, Jennifer Bopp, Renee Smith, Cole Dunn, Tommy Wright and Kenny Hayslette. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
