Lois Wilson, 89, of North Little Rock, formerly of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007. She was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College, a teacher at Jacksonville Elementary for more than 20 years and an active leader and Sunday School teacher, at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Her faith in her Lord and Savior was unwavering, and her commitment to husband and children provided the bond that held her family together.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Noel Wilson and her son, Merwyn. She leaves behind her daughters, Delores Bowman and her husband, Carl of Las Vegas, Nevada and Linda Hamlett and her husband, Ed, of Nashville, Tennessee as well as a son, Jim Wilson and his wife, June of Hot Springs; a sister, Josephine Wade, of Conway; seven grandchildren, Bob Beck, Susan Kitrick, David Bowman, Eddie Craven, Whitney Loibner, Chip Hamlett and Andrew Hamlett, who all had the opportunity to enjoy her humor, patience, great cooking and loving care. She also leaves six great-grandchildren who will surely hear stories of the wonderful woman that she was.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Bayou Meto Cemetery.
