Lois Buck

Lois Marie Buck, age 98, of Hot Springs went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2011. She was born May 8, 1913 at Center Ridge, Arkansas located in Clark County, the daughter of James Ennis and Eunice Boyd Glover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmie Edward Buck in 1988 and her oldest daughter, Quita Faye Buck in 1995. Lois was a lifelong member of Alpine Presbyterian Church in Alpine, Arkansas. Lois and Carmie were the owners of the Buck Grocery Store in Alpine for over forty years and Carmie served as the postmaster.

She was a wonderful homemaker, loved gospel music, and most of all an awesome mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Ray Buck (Ruby) of Forsyth, Georgia, Jimmy Max Buck (Charlotte) of Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters, Linda Sue White (Russell) of Jackson, Tennessee, Brenda Gail Forsythe of Hot Springs, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren. eleven great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 21st at Alpine Cemetery Chapel with Bro. Billy Thomason officiating. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to Alpine Cemetery Fund % Troy Buck, P. O. 41, Alpine, Arkansas 71920.
