Lois A. McPhail, age 70, of Benton, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born on July 8, 1947, in Perkins, Missouri, the daughter of Buster Wendel and Maxeine Head Wendel. She was preceded in death by her RJ McPhail on April 20, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Eric Whisenhunt; two brothers, Leland Wendel and Pete Wendel; and two sisters, Tiny Stillman and Kay Brogan. She enjoyed going to casinos, reading books, working crossword puzzles, watching holiday movies and had a love of Native America and has many collectibles. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored. She always loved to share her stories about all the many experiences and learning lessons she encountered throughout her lifetime, leaving so many memories for her family to cherish. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, A. Lynn and Rusty Corley of Benton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John C. and Lorna Whisenhunt of Bellville, Illinois and Christopher D. McPhail of Arnold, Missouri; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dana Feikert of St. Louis, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. At her request, there will be no formal services held. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
