A proud graduate of Northeast High School, class of 1978, Lisa, in her youth, participated in programs such as Y-Teens and Young Life. Her social nature blossomed from a young age, setting the foundation for her life-long passion for connecting with others. She worked for many years in real estate as a corporate manager for the communications industry, demonstrating her hard-working and dedicated approach to her career.
Lisa was known for her infectious joy and warmth. Those fortunate enough to know her cherished her fun-loving personality. She was caring, generous, and always made those around her feel valued. The holiday season, especially Christmas, held a special place in her heart, further reflecting her love for gatherings and celebrations. Her unwavering faith in Christ and strength supported her throughout her life.
Her interests were diverse, with a fondness for music and a love for spending time watching Westerns with her husband, Larry. Lisa created many cherished memories traveling with her family, enjoying the beauty of the lakes in Hot Springs, and relishing every opportunity she had to put her toes in the sand at the beach. With an adventurous spirit, she embraced the thrill of exploration, having gone on six cruises in just 13 months.
As a mother, Lisa took pride in raising her daughters—Jennifer Oxford (James), Sarah Dunnavant, and Macy Volentine. She was also a proud Grandmommy to her granddaughter, Madalyn Oxford. Lisa's dedication to her family extended to her sisters, Darlene Martin (Herbert Ray) and Deborah Lynn (Daniel), and included several nieces and nephews, along with a host of family and friends who were touched by her generosity and kindness.
Throughout her life, Lisa remained committed to giving back to her community. Her volunteer work with the North Little Rock Junior League exemplified her dedication to service and improvement of the lives of those around her.
Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry Volentine, and her daughters, who will carry forward the values she instilled in them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Louise Cross, whose legacy of love and support shaped the remarkable woman she became.
