Lisa Marie Stahr

Lisa Marie Hain Stahr, 63, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away November 9, 2023. Lisa was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 3, 1960, to James Anthony Hain, Sr., and Theresa Mary Zackert Hain.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Hain, Sr. and her husband, David E. Stahr. Lisa is survived by her children, Zachary Stahr (Kristi) and Henry Stahr; granddaughter, Bailey; mother, Theresa Zackert; siblings, Susan Hain Clark, James Hain, Jr., and Michael F. Hain; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, best friends and dogs.

Lisa attended St Patrick School and Mount Saint Mary Academy, and earned a degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She met Dave Stahr during college; they married soon after graduation and built their family with Zach and Henry in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky, eventually settling in North Carolina. Lisa was in love with God’s creation and the family God gave her. She appreciated the beauty of nature, the wonder of arts, especially words and music, and the joy of community. Lisa was smart, incredibly generous, and kind and had a mischievous sense of humor. Lisa worked in radio and television advertising for many years, making many friends from that industry across the country. She took care of all of God’s creatures; it seemed that every stray animal would find her and she always gave them her attention. She took care of her people, too, and was quick to reach out and offer help to anyone in her circle who was in need. Indeed, five times in her life she put her needs aside and lived in and cared for members of her family who needed it most.

She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in North Little Rock, and a regular volunteer there. Lisa was a wonderful mom, sister, daughter and friend and provided an example to all of us of selfless, loving support. Her lasting legacy is one of enthusiasm, optimism and love.

A rosary will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30AM. Inurnment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
