Linde Sharon Williams Collison was born in Little Rock, AR on September 1, 1942, and departed this life on March 8, 2023. She was raised in Sherwood and graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in 1960. She then completed dental hygiene school two years later in Memphis, TN. After graduation, she moved back to central Arkansas and began working at a family dental practice in Hillcrest. She worked at that same dental office for 43 years. By the time she retired in 2005, she was seeing three generations of families.
Preceded in death by her parents, Rector “Rex” Linde Williams and Pauline “Polly” Smith Williams, her brother “Buddy” Williams, and her husband of 41 years, Hiram Patrick “Pat” Collison who passed in 2004.
Her loves included bird watching, working in her flower beds, and of course, watching Razorback Basketball.
Survived by her two daughters, Denise Collison Brewer (Paul) of Hot Springs, and Sharon Collison George (Shane) of Bentonville. Her grandchildren, Stephanie Crawford of North Little Rock and Reece George of Bentonville. Also, her sister, Toni Williams Thibadoux of Chattanooga, TN.
Her grandchildren meant the world to her and gave her immense joy. Linde was a kind, thoughtful, and giving person who made friends easily and had lifelong friends that were like family to her. She was a very organized person who made lists and documented the daily weather on her calendar. Had she not loved dental hygiene, she would have made a great meteorologist.
She lived 58 years in the same home on Country Club Road in Sherwood where she raised her children, which just happened to be around the corner from where she grew up on Claremont Road. Most recently, she relocated to Hot Springs where she lived in a senior living community, The Atrium. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but it is comforting to know that she is now in peace in Heaven.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23 from 5:00-7:00 at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy. 107. A private burial is planned for Friday.
