Linda Sue Vail, 61, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away February 23, 2017. She was born June 16, 1955 in Jigger, Louisiana to the late Archie and Aline Kirkland Pierce.
Linda cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed wrestling and looked forward to watching WWE events. Linda was a great cook, and always prepared enough food to feed an army. She loved the challenge of working crossword puzzles. Linda was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gerald Wayne Pierce.
Linda leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Doyle Vail of El Dorado, Arkansas; children, Monica Clift and husband Michael of El Dorado, Arkansas, Angela Hogan and husband Shane of El Dorado, Arkansas, Leighann Pierce of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sheena Pierce of Kroger, Louisiana, and Jason Prince of Rayville, Louisiana; brothers, Otis Shelton of Forest, Louisiana, Sammy Ray Pierce of Sterlinton, Louisiana, Steve Pierce of Forest, Louisiana, and Thomas Ray Pierce of Pioneer, Louisiana; sisters, Deborah Ann Pierce of Winnsboro, Louisiana, Debra Aline Vance of England, Arkansas, Beverly Gail Pierce of Winnsboro, Louisiana, Sandra kay Lowery of Benoit, Mississippi; fourteen grandchildren with one on the way; nieces and nephews; and many more family members and friends who loved Linda and will miss her always.
Funeral service, officiated by Pastor Paul Purifoy, held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 1, at Wyatt Baptist Church, 4621 Hillsboro Street, El Dorado, Arkansas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Wyatt Parnell Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas with Randell Griffith, Joey Vick, Drew Goode, Shane Hogan, Michael Clift, and Ryan White assisting as pallbearers.
