Linda Sue Vines Carmack, age 72, of Glenwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
She was born on October 19, 1948 in Black Springs to Fred and Syble Black Vines. On June 27, 1969, she married Henry Richard Carmack. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Linda was a Christian in her faith and we know without a doubt she is rejoicing in heaven with her Lord and Savior. She will be greatly missed by all, but we know she is not in pain any longer. She enjoyed being with her family and she especially cherished her visits from Addilyn, who was her “Sugar Dumpling” and the light of her life. She also enjoyed shopping with her girls and her cousin, Helen Robertson, going to church and visiting on the phone with her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Tisha and Russell Hearn of Glenwood and Tammy and Eric Elder of Oden; three grandchildren, Tyler Caldwell of Glenwood, Hailee Elder Lewis and Haizen Elder, both of Oden; one great-granddaughter, Addilyn Lewis of Oden; and a host of special cousins, family and friends.
