Linda Marie Starr

Linda Marie Starr, age 68, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in a local hospital on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

Linda was born on February 13, 1952, in Crockett, Texas, the daughter of Hubert Utyler Starr and Adelia Tatom Starr. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James Starr and Arnold Starr.

Linda was strong in her Pentecostal faith and enjoyed witnessing and sharing God’s love with others. Originally from Texas, she resided in Malvern, Arkansas, for the last 15 years where she communicated with family and friends by phone or internet. Linda graduated from Kennard High School. She had gifted hands in which she used in her profession as a licensed massage therapist. She was able to relieve most pain and discomfort in her clients with the touch from her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved to cook and was good at it. She was always serving up new concoctions or dishes to her family and friends. She also loved to fish to pass the time, whether it was a polliwog or a healthy size fish, it always put a smile on her face.

She is survived by her sister in Christ and special friend, Betty Midkiff of Malvern; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Trent Troutman of Lufkin, Texas and Lance and Holly Troutman of Lavernia, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Steve Frazier of Lufkin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Onyx, River and Freedom of Lavernia, Texas and Linzi, Graci, Tyson and Cody of Lufkin, Texas; and one special lil’ girl that stole her heart, Miracle Faith Diaz of Malvern; along with other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
