Linda Wallingsford Holmstrom

Linda Wallingsford Holmstrom, aged 74, of North Little Rock, AR, passed away on October 5, 2024. Born on January 12, 1950, in San Diego, CA, she was a pioneering figure, notably one of the earliest female Certified Public Accountants in Arkansas, having passed the CPA exam in 1975.

 Linda attended Arkadelphia High School and later graduated cum laude from Henderson State University, where she majored in accounting. She was an All-state snare drummer in high school and went on to play hand bells in the church choir.

 Linda was a loyal, trustworthy individual who epitomized strength and independence. She was married to her loving husband for 30 years and traveled the world with him, greatly enhancing her life experiences. When at home, she was an avid reader and maintained a meticulous list of books to ensure she always had something new to explore. Additionally, Linda was actively involved in volunteering at Lakewood United Methodist Church and the Argenta Arts District, where she was cherished for her selflessness and dedication to serving others. She was a beloved member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, where she not only worshiped but also served the community with great devotion. 

 Linda leaves behind her husband, Douglas E. Holmstrom; her son, Bill Benson; her daughter, Lee Ann Benson; and her grandchildren, Brianna Ashley Lane, Michael Calvin Bond, and Jennifer Ann Bond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Lee and Joseph Eural Wallingsford.

 A memorial service celebrating her remarkable life will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church on November 1, 2024 at 11am.

Linda will be remembered as a dedicated, dependable person whose life was a wonderful example for many. Her legacy of love, service, and perseverance will continue to inspire those who knew her.
