Linda Black

Linda Butler Black, 70, of Benton, Arkansas entered the presence of our Lord on May 22, 2018. She was born August 1, 1947 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the late Noel, Jr. and Mary Lorraine (Gamble) Butler.
Linda loved serving the Lord and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a manager and retired from the Boiler Division for the State of Arkansas. Her grandchildren were so dear to her and she enjoyed supporting all their events. Family and friends remember her as being "prim, proper, and always put together." Linda was talented in many crafts and created personalized scrapbooks for her family. Traveling and spending time outdoors were special times Linda looked forward to.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of fifty-three years, E.F. Black of Benton, Arkansas; son, Robert Black of Benton, Arkansas; daughter, Tricia Houpt of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren: Matthew Black, Logan Black, Haley Mansfield and husband Chandler, Hunter Wray, and Harper Wray; great-grandchildren, Lacey Mansfield; sister, Mary Noel Mabry and husband Jerry of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and a host of family and friends who love Linda and will miss her always.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, May 25, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 23908 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Randy Hawkins and Bro. Steve Westbrook, will follow at 11:00 AM. Linda would want you to dress in casual attire. A pot-luck meal will be served after service per Linda's wishes. Burial will follow meal at Bauxite Cemetery with Kyle Mabry, Chandler Mansfield, Garrett Mabry, Leon Cornett, Tommy Gilliam, and Kurt Holland assisting as pallbearers.
