Linda L Bell

Linda L Bell, a remarkable woman known for her fearless spirit and immense talents, passed away on November 12, 2023, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on October 10, 1940, in Benton, AR, Linda was the daughter of Jim and Fern Newcomb.

Linda's vibrant personality was evident in every aspect of her life. She was known for her impeccable housekeeping skills and her fearless approach to life's challenges. Beyond her skills as a homemaker, Linda possessed a remarkable talent for crafting and wood carving. There seemed to be no challenge she couldn't conquer once she set her mind to it.

One of the most distinctive traits that defined Linda was her boundless creativity. She had an ability to transform ordinary things into extraordinary works of art. A shining example of this was when she crafted her sister Jimmie's wedding dress. But rather than stopping there, Linda took the dress and completely transformed it into something new and breathtaking for her daughter Tracy's wedding.

In addition to her craftsmanship, Linda taught herself to play the banjo, harmonica, and piano – a testament to her strong determination. Her love for music brought joy not only to herself but also to those fortunate enough to witness the beauty of her melodies. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Linda leaves behind a loving circle of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, William Bell; her daughter, Tracy (Val) Picanco; grandchildren, Joshua (Crissy) Klober, Chasity (Trae) Rigdon, Chad (Brande) Klober, Torey Bell; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jimmie Phifer. She delighted in their company, and they were the greatest source of joy in her life. Linda is laughing in heaven with her parents; her sisters, Sue Otts and Mary Patterson; and her son, Tony Bell.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N Market Street, Benton, AR. Following the service, Linda will be laid to rest at Rosemont Cemetery at 11:30 AM.

Linda's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled. Her extraordinary talents and loving nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we mourn the loss of such an exceptional woman, let us also celebrate the vibrant spirit that enriched our lives. Linda's memory will forever be etched in our hearts as we carry on her legacy of fearlessness and boundless creativity.
