Linda L. Benson Beene age 56 of the Curtis Community near Arkadelphia died Thursday in Little Rock. She was born June 11, 1954 the daughter of Arthur and Gladys Murphy Benson. She was Director of Nursing at the Arkadelphia Human Development Center and member of Curtis First Baptist Church. Linda loved her family very much, especially her granddaughters and her dog "Buffy". She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Cory Beene and one brother, Danny Joe Benson.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Ray Beene, three daughters, Amy Bright and husband Jeremy of Hollywood, Becky Foster and husband Roger of Hot Springs and Sarah Overbey and husband Brent of Arkadelphia, four grand daughters, Jaden and Jacie Bright of Hollywood and Allison and Kourtni Foster of Hot Springs, three brothers, David Benson of Russellville and Donald and Douglas Benson both of Gurdon, mother-in law Avenelle Beene of Curtis and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, August 23, in the Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Rev. Phillip Runyan officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery near Curtis. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Pallbearers will be Daniel and Donny Benson, Cameron, Brandon and Adam Beene, Eric Bryant and Matt Slife. Honorary pallbearers: Arkadelphia Human Development Center Employees, Baptist Emergency Room Staff and Ambulance Services, Brent Overbey, Roger Foster, Jeremy Bright, Dr. Jerry Mann and Dr. Alan Atkins.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkadelphia Human Development Center or Third Street Baptist Church.
