Lillie Lee Pope McLendon

Lillie Lee Pope McLendon, 98, of Sherwood passed away June 1, 2020.  She was born February 5, 1922 in Clinton, North Carolina to the late Cleveland L. Pope and Illa Alderman Pope.

Survivors include three sons:  Alexander A. McLendon of Pensacola, Florida; Douglas McLendon and wife Teresa of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and Donald McLendon and wife Helen of Lexington, North Carolina; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Lillie was preceded in death by a brother, C.L. Pope; two sisters, Geraldine Pope, and Dorothy Pope; and daughter, Lauren McLendon.

A visitation memorial will be held at a later date.
