Lillie Faye Murphy

Lillie (Lil) F. Murphy, age 75, of Glenwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021.
She was born on April 30, 1946, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of the late James Targett and Priscilla Stultz Targett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Murphy.
Lillie will be remembered for her strength in the toughest of times and her whole hearted ability to celebrate the good times.
She loved crafting, playing cards and watching Hallmark movies with her daughter Carrie. She enjoyed listening to oldies music and never passed up an opportunity to dance. Over the years, she made numerous lifelong friendships in her travels with her husband Pat. She loved her family deeply and was very proud and supportive of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Tony Thomson of Boonville, Indiana; her daughters, Neona Thomson Underhill of Boonville, Indiana and Carrie Murphy Sanders of Glenwood; her sisters, Phyllis Mills and Bonnie Wetnight, both of Brazil, Indiana, and Gemmie Floyd of Carbon, Indiana. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
At Lil’s request, there will be no service. Those wishing to honor her life may make donations in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
