Lillian Oakley
Lillian R. Oakley, 84, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, an avid gardener, homemaker and she enjoyed cooking at the church.
She is survived by her brother, John E. Oakley, of North Little Rock; sister, Charlene McKinzie, of Little Rock; four nieces, Doris R. Mixon and husband, Charles, of Little Rock, Linda Kay Jones and husband, Milton, of Arlington, Texas, Joyce Faye Lee and husband, Gifford, of Huntsville, Alabama and Bonnie Sue Eilers and husband, Michael, of Little Rock; nephew, John Nolan McKinzie and wife, Darlene, of Sheridan; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Oakley, Sr. and Martha Martin; and her niece, Charlotte Ann McKinzie.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 5025 Lynch Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
