Lexie Bell Windham Taylor "Mema" went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, March 19, 2016. She was born June 22, 1916. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Landreth George Taylor "Papa in 1991", their son, Jerry Douglas Taylor "Buddy in 1953" and son-in-love, Joe T. Courtney in 2001.

She was a wonderful Homemaker, Gardner and Seamstress. Family or friend if you visited their home you always left with something from her kitchen, garden or sewing room. "She insisted."

She was a lifelong member of Natural Steps Baptist Church where she gladly served as Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School worker, various committee member and Faithful Prayer Warrior. She was a member of the Women's Mission Union (WMU) and the Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat Taylor Courtney of Bassfield, MS, Betty Taylor Montgomery (Mike) of Roland, AR; son, Don Taylor (Pat) of Roland, AR; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Valley Ranch Nursing Facility and the Gentiva Hospice Team for the loving kindness that was given to "Mema."

Visitation will be held at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct, Little Rock, AR 72205 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th. Graveside services will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Friday, March 25 starting at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Brother Bart Baker.

Memorials may be made to Natural Steps Baptist Church, 12011 Highway 300, Roland, AR 72135.
