Lewis Geary
Lewis Dale Geary, 84, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009. He was born September 4, 1925 in Van Buren County, Arkansas to Marvin and Lona (Jones) Geary. He was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna Belle Geary, of North Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Cindy Geary, of North Little Rock; three daughters, Peggy and her husband, Gene Zajac of North Little Rock, Beverly Lean and Susan Chavez, both of Montana; brother, Warren Geary, of Conway; sister, Eva Lee Turnage, of Hensley; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Charles Geary.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
