Lestal Dutton, 81, of Cabot passed away Monday, November 23, 2009. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Cabot. He was in the Navy at the end of World War II where he steered the ship on the U.S.S. Princeton and served in the Army as a field wireman during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Arkansas Department of Employment Security.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Tenison, of Cabot; son, Darren (Stephanie) Dutton, of Sherwood; four granddaughters, who were the light of his life, April Berryman, of Cabot, Emily Dutton, of Sherwood, Mallory Dutton, of Sherwood and Cassidy Tenison, of Cabot; sister, Oddis Webb, of England; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Dutton; four brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
