Lessie Temple

Lessie Enois Pendergrass Temple, our precious Mother, Grandmother and Sister, passed away into the loving arms of her Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2014. She will be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Burke Temple, her parents, Era Clenney Pendergrass and Fred Pendergrass, and sister, Mary Blackwood.

Enois was born and raised in Horatio, Arkansas, then moved to Little Rock to attend business school. She married her sweetheart, Burke, in February 1948 in Little Rock. She retired from the Office of Social Security Hearings and Appeals with a host of special friends. Enois was a lifetime member of the Markham Faith United Methodist Church family, loved her Sunday School Class and enjoyed participating in the events with the very special ladies of the UMW. She will be remembered for her carefully selected and thoughtfully inscribed birthday cards and her knowledgeable and spirited discussions of politics and current events. Her grandchildren will forever remember the many fun times they had when she would transform her dining room table into a "play tent".

Those left to cherish her memories are daughters, Pam and husband, Mike Teeter of Bryant, Arkansas, Paula and husband, David Rogers of North Richland Hills, Texas; grandchildren, Tricia Claud, Jeremy Teeter and wife, Jenny, Shawn Claud, Jennifer Teeter Hose and husband, Tim Hose, Jamie Rogers and husband, Ernie Larson; great-grandchildren, Shawn Michael Claud, Charlotte Teeter, Lilli and Abi Larson and Owen Burke Teeter; a devoted sister, Ruth Greer of Colleyville, Texas; brother-in-law, Eddie Zakreski of Malvern; and other special family members.

You are invited to celebrate her life with us on Wednesday, December 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home with Reverend Harriett Akins-Banman officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16th at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 9820 W. Markham, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, (501)224-2200. Enois' online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
