Leslie J. Perry, 89, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022.

He was born December 4, 1933 in Pulaski County, Arkansas to Homer F. Perry, Sr. and Sidney Shook Perry. He graduated from Fuller High School in Little Rock.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Roberta L. Perry; his children, Greg Perry (Tracy), Mark Perry (Pamela); grandchildren, Adriane Johnston (Dillion), Joshua Perry (Jo Anna), Miranda Perry and Alyssa Perry; great granddaughter, Annelise Johnston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Sidney Perry Sr. His siblings, John M. Perry, J. Marvin Perry, Lena L. Biggs, Homer F. Perry Jr., all of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mr. Perry served with the United States Army. He was an accounting clerk for the Arkansas State Highway Department, where he retired after thirty-five years. Mr. Perry was a lifetime member of Ironton Baptist Church, where he served as a Boys Sunday School teacher for several years, as well as a church treasurer and a yokefellow and various other committees.

Mr. Perry enjoy working jigsaw puzzles and listening to Big Band Music. He was a very talented wood carver and painter. Mr. Perry’s greatest pleasure was his family. He and Roberta were very proud of their sons and daughters in laws, grandchildren and as of recently great granddaughter.

The family would like to thank the loving caregivers Gloria “Cookie”, Jasmine, Nikki, and Kendra.

Memorials may be made to Ironton Baptist Church (general funds).

Pallbearers will be: Joshua Perry, Dillion Johnston, John McGinness, Mark McGinness, Matthew McGinness and Earl Younger. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Loetscher.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM, Friday, December 30, 2022 at Ironton Baptist Church, with funeral to begin at 11:00 AM with Dr. Sidney Thompson officiating. Interment at Ironton Cemetery will be private.
