Leslie Joan Foster Lacy, age 65, residing in Arkadelphia formerly of Mesa, Arizona and Columbia, Missouri, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at her home. She was born January 3, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Carl Foster and Marjorie Frankenthal. Leslie was a graduate from Deaconess School of Nursing, St. Louis, Missouri, 1965. She was a retired Registered Nurse in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Units at: University of Missouri Medical Center, Boone County Hospital at Columbia, Missouri and Samaritan Hospitals in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a member of, First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Kotas of Riverton, WY and Julie Cissell and husband Keith of Arkadelphia, AR. Two sons, Benjamin Lacy and wife Kate of Mesa, AZ and Brian Lacy of Lakeside, CA, five grandchildren, Hannah, Caroline and Grant Cissell, Taylor Kotas and Kylee Lacy.
Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, fishing and camping. She was an avid reader with a love of cookbooks. Leslie always enjoyed the companionship of many animals. She especially treasured spending time and cooking with her children and grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 3:00pm, Friday February 6th at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Carroll Jackson and Rev. Carla Thompson officiating.
