On September 20th, 2022, Les Wyatt passed from this life to his eternal reward.
Les was born on April 16th, 1956 in Roswell, New Mexico, to Riley Elmer Wyatt and Jacqueline Francis Wyatt. Les is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Terry Wyatt, and his granddaughter, Grace Anne Abigail Lofton. Les left behind his loving wife Sherry, his children Clayton and Stacie, his son-in-law Bryan, daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Flynn and Roux Wyatt and Sawyer Lofton, and his sister, Pam Carlson. Les was blessed to be surrounded by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of wonderful friends.
Les spent over forty years as a professional truck driver, working both locally and over the road. Les was proud of the fact that he has driven through each of the lower 48 states. Les was a very hard-working man, and he was proud of his ability to provide for his family and support his local church.
Les was a devout Christian, and his church and church family were integral to his life. He was very dedicated to the work of God as a Sunday school teacher, worship leader, Sunday school bus driver, musician, usher, and deacon, and he willingly and happily dedicated countless hours to God and the church.
Les loved the outdoors. He cherished camping, hunting and fishing trips with his family, and he loved the smell of the forest and sound of the wind through the pines. Les enjoyed a good laugh, and he was always looking for an opportunity prank his friends and family. His favorite restaurant was always a buffet, and he preferred Golden Corral, Home Town Buffet and several Chinese buffets around town. Les enjoyed taking drives with his family, and he would always stop on the way for a snack and “something cold to sip on.” Les was a good chess player, and his games with friends and family were known to last hours. Les loved tinkering with vehicles, and he completed several project trucks over the years. He was an animal lover and he was always the favorite person of any family pet. Les was loyal to his friends, and he always looked forward to phone calls, coffee, and visits with his buddies.
Les lived his life for eternity, and is reunited with all those that have gone before him. Though we mourn his passing, we know we will see Les again. Until then, enjoy heaven…
