Leroy Strong, Jr.

Leroy Strong Jr., 65, of Little Rock passed from this life on January 24, 2021. He was born January 20, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Leroy Strong Sr. and Ethel Wilks Strong. Mr. Strong was very mechanically inclined. Working on automobiles was not only his profession but also his passion. If he wasn’t working he could be found enjoying his remote control cars or boats, listening to smooth Jazz music or spending time with his family. Leroy could not begin his day without two cups of coffee with two tablespoons of sugar. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as a loving and hardworking man, who put the people he loved above himself.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Demetrius Lee Strong.

Survivors include his daughter, Kacie Leah Strong of Little Rock; the mother of his daughter and caring previous wife, Elayne Cohen-Strong of California; siblings, George Strong and Gwen Strong both of Alabama; nieces and nephews, Lavedra Pearsall, Paris Rankin, George Strong Jr., Terrence Strong, Terrill Strong, Robert Cohen, Julie Silva, Rachel Stinnett, Jordan Miller, and along with a host of other cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home with Mrs. Diane Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
