Leota Horton, 92, of Sherwood passed from this life, August 27, 2008. She was born December 14, 1915 at DeQueen, Arkansas to Wesley and Dora Russell. She was married to the late Lindell Horton, and a member of the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Winston Horton and wife Mary of Jacksonville and Roger Horton and wife Sue of Benton; four grandchildren, Kara Newman and Scott Horton of North Little Rock, Kent Horton of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Brad Horton of Little Rock; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Beryl Rogoff of Greenville, South Carolina and Sarah Hawkins of Murfreesboro; and two brothers, James Russell of Burnett, Texas and Don Russell of Bismarck. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sue Humphry and Virginia Lynn Russell and two brothers, Horace and Jack Russell.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sylvan Hills Church of Christ building fund or Central Arkansas Christian Schools.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Leon Barnes and Greg Clark officiating. Graveside service will be 4:00 P.M. at Delight Cemetery in Delight, Arkansas. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
