Leonard Hancock age 98 of Arkadelphia died Monday, April 28, 2008 in Arkadelphia. He was born April 26, 1910 in Clark County Arkansas, the son of Lon and Arthie Garner Hancock. Leonard attended Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Belle Hancock and one grandson, Danny Helms.
Survivors include one son, E. B. "Buddy" Hancock of Hot Springs Village, AR.; one daughter, Lillian Helms of Arkadelphia; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 2, 2008 in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Howard officiating. Interment will be in Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday with family receiving friends 6 until 8 PM.
