Leona Hall Hendrix age 75 of Friendship died Monday, March 9, 2009 in Malvern. She was born April 19, 1933 the daughter of Marvin and Lena Hall. She was retired from the CADC and Director of The Senior Center. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Social Hill and the widow of Lindsey Everett Hendrix.
Survivors include one son, Everett Hendrix of Donaldson, one daughter, Patti McCreary of Pittsburgh, PA, two sisters, Lois Mackey of Little Rock and Martha Fogarty of Tyler, TX, three grandchildren, David McCreary, Joshua Hendrix, and Amanda Hendrix and one great grandchild, Aiden Beer, 12 nephews and 4 nieces.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Friday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry George officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will be 3 P.M. Friday in Calvin Crossing Cemetery near Hoxie, AR. Pallbearers will be Joshua Hendrix, Byron Hall, Duane Hall, Rickey McKim, Ray Bailey and Johnny Harmon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Social Hill Building Fund, 25432 Hwy 84, Malvern, AR 72104.
