Leon Thomasson

Leon "Tom" Thomasson, 72 of Russellville, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 in Russellville, he was born on January 16, 1939 in Anadarko, Oklahoma; he was the son of David S. Thomasson and Edith Williams Thomasson.
Tom was a retired United States Air Force Veteran, who proudly served his country for over forty years as a flight engineer, who flew C130's, who had over one thousand hours of flight time, and served two tours in Vietnam, he also worked for over thirty years in the Pulaski County Special School District.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edith & David Thomasson, a sister Faye Dowell, and his second wife Dee Thomasson.
After the death of his second wife, Tom married and spent twelve wonderful years with his loving wife Glenna Thomasson of Russellville, who he leaves to cherish his memories; he is also survived by his daughters Victoria (Mike) Berhiet of Little Rock, Cindy Thomasson of Oklahoma, Vicky (Reed) Hannah of Missouri, Kim (Tommy) Farmer of North Little Rock, and Missy (Glen) Hubbard of Russellville; sons Mike Thomasson of Oklahoma, Andy (Debbie) Neal of Dardanelle, Jess (Sherrie) Neal of Hector, and John (Tina) Neal of Virginia; brothers Donald Thomasson, J.D. (Becky) Thomasson of Tennessee, and Ronald Dean (Sherry)Thomasson; sisters Leota Winters, Wilda Moon, and Dorra(Mark) Chance; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Gumlog Fellowship Church with Rev. Frank Richter and Rev. Jess Neal officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to either Gumlog Fellowship Church in the care of Rev. Frank Richter, 448 Galla Creek Ln., Pottsville, AR 72858.
