Leon Edgar Sneed, Jr., 62, died in Little Rock on Thursday, February 2, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Aletha Sneed; daughter, Christy Sneed-Jobe and her husband, Lloyd; son, Craig W. Sneed and his wife, Tracy; two cherished grandchildren, Eliot and Oliver Jobe; and brother, Larry Sneed and his wife, Johnnie Kay. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Norma Sneed and his brother, Richard Sneed.
He was employed by the City of Little Rock for ten years, followed by many years of service with Appraisal Consulting. Leon enjoyed the outdoor life and fishing, and was an avid duck, turkey and deer hunter. He was a proud member of Boy Scout Troop 24, achieving its highest rank of Eagle Scout. Leon was very active in the 12 Step Program at Cosmopolitan, Solutions and Sterling Men's Groups.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, February 5, 2006, from 2:00-4:00 at Highland Valley United Methodist Church, 15524 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2006, at the church, officiated by Dr. Kurt Boggan. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Pallbearers will be Pete Hornibrook, Clay Gilliland, Rick Watkins, Dr. Joe Matthews, Dr. Harley Harber, Steve Wilson, George Huntington, John Joe Howlett, Mac McIntosh and Jim Garot. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Cosmopolitan, Solutions and Sterling Men's Groups.
