Leola E. Gilton age 73, of Sparkman, AR died Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born October 12, 1941 in Sparkman the daughter of Dale and Madge Horne Key. She was a member of Sparkman First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands, James Pennington, Bill Launius, and Leland Gilton.
She is survived by four sons, Bud (Barbara) Launius of Sparkman, James (Jerri Lynne) Pennington of Benton, Dale (Lisa) Pennington of Prescott, and Billy (Cindy) Launius of Sparkman, one daughter, Carolyn (Buddy) Vann of Sparkman, two step sons, Terry (Kathleen) Gilton of Boise, Idaho and Michael (Kathleen) Gilton of Prosper, TX, one brother, Rufus (Phyllis) Key of Holly Springs, two sisters, Sharon (Loyce) Brazeale and Kathryn (Bill) Daniell both of Sparkman, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a special friend, Charles Love of Sparkman.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, January 2nd, 2015 in the Sparkman First Baptist Church with Rev. James Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, January 1st at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
