Leo Kellum, Jr., a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas, departed this life on September 5, 2010 following a brief illness. He was born to the late HayDessa Gantt and Leo Kellum, Sr. on April 11, 1954. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Juanita Gantt and favorite aunt, Isabell Douglas.
Leo was very outgoing, cheerful and enjoyed being with family and friends.
Surviving members of his family include his brother, Albert Gantt and sister-in-law, Shirley Gantt of Yorktown, Virginia; nieces, Daphancy Gantt of Hampton, Virginia and Adrienne Gantt of Skaneateles, New York; former wife, Nadine Kellum-Dunn of North Little Rock; five daughters, Qwyla Green (Benny) of North Little Rock, Kavia Chappell (Jack) of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jennifer Jackson of Stone Mountain, Georgia and LaShonda Jackson of North Little Rock; five grandchildren and a host of cousins and close family friends.
Special thanks to Nadine Kellum-Dunn and her family for all of their support, patience and efforts spent at Leo's bedside during his time of need in the hospital and hospice care.
Services will be Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), (501)224-2200.
