LC Haynes

LC Haynes, Jr., age 75 was born on July 4, 1949, to LC Haynes, Sr. and Marcella Hemphill Haynes in Grenada Mississippi. He departed this earthly life on September 11, 2024, and went to his heavenly home.

LC was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Benton and was faithful to attend until illness prevented his attendance. He graduated from Trezevant High School in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating he joined the U.S. Army in 1969. He served two tours in Germany and then in Kentucky.

LC was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt for 11 years and was awarded for driving a million miles without accidents. After he left J.B. Hunt, he drove for Affiliated Foods for three years.

LC was very patriotic and was proud of his service in the Army. His room was full of military items, planes, and American flags. He enjoyed installing lights on the house, walker, and room, and made everything brighter.

LC was preceded in death by his parents, LC Haynes, Sr., and Marcela Hemphill Haynes. He is survived by his loving wife, Freda Cohea Haynes faithfully loving and caring for him for 54 years.

LC has three sons, Brad Haynes (Valerie), Troy Haynes, and Matt Haynes; grandchildren, Tylar Haynes, Breanna Haynes (Jasen), Ana McGinty (Justin), Brennan Haynes, Bailey Haynes, Austin Moncrief (Alex), and Aaron Moncrief (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Brantley Haynes, Kayleigh Haynes, and Kobe McDaniel; and sister, Nancy Cohea (James).
