Lawrence Wilson Maxwell, of Jacksonville, AR, a man whose life was marked by courage and dedication, passed away on March 26, 2024. He was born on February 18, 1945, in the serene town of Solgohachia, Arkansas. Lawrence, known for his service in the United States Navy, exemplified honor and commitment throughout his life.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Lawrence will remember him for his unwavering loyalty and gentle spirit.
Survived by his loving wife, Honorata A. Maxwell, stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing countless cherished moments together, as well as his beloved niece; Carmen Cuneo.
Lawrence is now reunited with his beloved parents, Huie F. Maxwell and Lola Maxwell. Along with his three brothers; Wesley Maxwell, Jackie Maxwell and Dwain Maxwell, as well as one sister; Martha Cuneo. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A man of integrity and valor, his dedication to serving his country was unwavering, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
A Visitation to honor Lawrence's life will be held at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Sherwood on April 9th, 2024. The visitation will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM to allow friends and family to pay their respects. Rosary will follow visitation.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, March 10th, 2024 at 10AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in NLR.
A burial ceremony will be on April 10th, 2024 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock at noon.
