Lawrence Engel

Lawrence Robert Engel, 96, of Little Rock, passed away on April 5, 2021.  He was born on April 1,1925 to Nicholas and Mary Engel in New Blaine.  He served in the United States Navy and was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Janie Engel; children, Marilyn Touchstone (Bill), Larry Engel (Sandi), and Joan Scott (Jim); grandchildren, Andrea, Eric, Jacob, Mandy and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Matt, Zach, Allison, Skye, Shelby and Leyton; and other extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Pauline “Polly” Engel, Margaret “Maggie” Engel, Loretta Williams, Ida Lensing, Tina Baumgartner, Bill Engel, Joe Engel, Rose Buss, Marie Duelmer, and Liz Casavechia.

Visitation will be 5:30 pm, followed by a 6:30 pm Rosary, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Smith Little Rock Funereal Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas.  Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 8, 2021 at St. Scholastica Church, 288 Saint Scholastica Road, New Blaine, Arkansas.  Burial will follow in St. Scholastica Cemetery.  Online guestbook at www.smithfamilycares.com.
