Lavina "Tots" Anderson

Lavina "Tots" Anderson, age 87, of Glenwood, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019. She was born on July 4, 1932, in Caddo Gap, the daughter of Daniel Larkin Rains and Mary Etta Josephine Williams Rains. She was preceded in death her parents; two brothers, Virgil Rains and Warren Rains; and four sisters, Helen Mays, Lessie Taylor, Alice Taylor and Jeanette "Toots" Horn. Tots was retired from Alltel Telephone Company after twenty-one years of dedicated service. She loved gardening, bird watching, embroidering, painting, working with any type of crafts and needlework, collecting Indian artifacts and was an excellent cook. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Tots will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Ketha and Wayne Buck of Glenwood and Kerry and Billy Grant of Oak Grove; three grandchildren and their spouses, Vanessa Buck, Brandon and HyeJin Grant and Evan and Heather Buck; two great-grandchildren, Maddox Crow and Lydia Grant; her special friend and father of her children, Walter "Harold" Anderson of Oak Grove; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 30, 2019, in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Caddo Gap, with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating. Pallbearers will be Brandon Grant, Evan Buck, Billy Grant, Wayne Buck, Stevie Horn and Stanley Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Verser; and the nurses and staff of the Montgomery County Nursing Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
