Laura Wingfield

It is with a broken heart that we share the passing of our precious wife, mother, and grandmother. Laura Jo Wingfield, 88, of Benton, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2018 in the ever present care of her family. She was born June 11, 1929 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to the late Eugene and Annette (O'Neal) Meador.
Laura was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a great example of a Godly lady and cherished her church family.
Laura was a devoted and loving wife and mother-even to her "four-legged children." Laura and her husband enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and relaxing and are members of the Circle D Camping Club.
Spending time playing card games such as Uno, Skip Bo, and other board games was one of her favorite pastimes. She even taught her grandson, Andy, and he became a card shark.
Reading was a passion and Laura read anything she could get her hands on. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing special meals and desserts for her family.
Laura worked as a cafeteria manager for the Little Rock School District.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Wingfield; three brothers: Chuck, Richard, and Dale Meador; and one sister, Jean Graham.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of sixty-nine years, Ezra Wingfield of Benton, Arkansas; daughter, Kay Powell and her husband Keith of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren: Andy Powell and wife McKenzie, Lindsey Wingfield, and Brian Wingfield; two great-granddaughters: Goldie Powell and Zoe Wingfield; and a host of family and friends who love Laura and will miss her always.
