Laura Hester Cox Meddley age 74 of Caddo Valley died Wednesday, January 21, 2009. She was born in Atlanta, GA the daughter of Watson and Myrtis Hamrick Hester. She was a retired lounge and restaurant waitress in Atlanta, GA and Panama City, FL and worked for several years at the Waffle House in Caddo Valley. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Cox Reed.
Survivors include her husband Welton H. Meddley of Caddo Valley, one daughter Tonya Walker of Caddo Valley, one brother, Watson E. Hester of Georga, two sisters, Barbara Jones and Alice Cosby both of Georgia, and one granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at Davis Memorial Church of God In Christ at 19th and Caddo St. in Arkadelphia with Rev. Benny Johnson officiating.
