Laura Kimbrough

Laura Lee Kimbrough went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 28th, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Shepherd Johnson and Joseph Cullen Johnson; brother, Harvey A. Johnson; nephew, Joseph Bounds; and brother-in-law, Bill Bounds. Laura was born November 29th, 1942 in Hickory Plains, AR where she spent most of her childhood.

After graduating high school and attending one year of college, Laura went into nursing where she graduated with an LPN degree. She spent most of her career as an LPN at the Little Rock Children’s Clinic where she retired in 2010 after 32 years of service.

Laura was an active member at her church until her health began to decline. She was a huge Razorback fan, an avid crocheter and she adored her family. She loved country and gospel music, and was always up for a game of cards at family gatherings.

Laura is survived by her sister, Jonnie Bounds of Conway, AR; nieces, Tammy Pollack of Lebanon, OH and Jo Stell of Salem, OR; and nephew, Michael Johnson of Shreveport, LA.

Services for Laura Lee Kimbrough will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 4th, 2023, at Smith Benton Funeral Home in Benton, AR. with Reverend Peter Cunningham officiating. Laura will be laid to rest in the Hickory Plains Cemetery in Hickory Plains, AR under the direction of Smith Benton Funeral Home.
