Larry W. Webb

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” -2 Timothy 4:7

Larry W. Webb, 68, of Conway, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on December 3, 2022. He was born July 28, 1954 in North Little Rock where he grew up and became a proud NLR Wildcat, Class of '72. Larry came to know the Lord and was baptized at Apostolic Church when he was 16. His commitment to the Lord led him to minister for many years teaching Bible studies, participate in the bus ministry, sing on the praise team, help run the sound system, lead small groups in his church, and serve the Hispanic community as a certified ESL. He served many years, always with a humble heart, as a board member at Word Aflame Fellowship and was currently serving as a board member at TurnPointe Church of Conway.

Larry was always looking for ways to give and his country benefited from that. He thought it an honor to serve in the United States Army, Active Duty and National Guard, for 32 years. He accomplished much during that time and impacted many lives. While serving his country, he also worked for the United States Postal Service. He retired with 28 years of dedicated service as a Postmaster. After retiring, he was a member of the Lions Club of Conway, a licensed Ham Radio Operator, and he considered it an honor to be on the Conway Planning Commission.

In 2021, he answered the call to become a licensed Chaplain to minister in the Faulkner County Jail. He worked to get large-print Bibles donated to the facility and taught Bible studies during his time there.

His life is a reflection of the goodness and faithfulness of God. He was well respected by family, friends, and colleagues.

One of the shining accomplishments of Larry’s life is his family. He always lovingly tended to and led his family by example; family was everything to him. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Dana (McFarland). They have two sons, Ryan Webb (Charity) and Andrew Webb (Heather) and a daughter Alyson Freese (Zach) that he was very proud of. He loved being “Papa” and enjoyed his grandchildren: Dylan Webb, Cassidy Webb, Addison Webb, Eli Webb, Liam Webb, Ava Freese, Ethan Freese, Jax Freese, Lakyn Freese. His brothers, Alvis Webb (Sherry) Michael Webb (Carla) Dennis Webb (Susan) and numerous extended family, church family, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvis and Helen Webb, and his grandparents, James & Grace Halcomb.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: National Guard Relief Foundation, Conway Noon Lions Club, Donate Life America and please consider becoming an organ donor.
