Larry Wayne Milam, 70, of Bauxite, Arkansas went to be with the Lord June 13, 2018. He was born March 9, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Homer D. and Ruby J. (Crane) Milam.
Larry was a workaholic-he loved working on tractors and anything else that needed fixing. He worked for fifteen years and retired from the City of Benton Street Department. Larry proudly served in the United States Navy for over four years. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon. Larry loved spending time with his daughters, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren. He supported all of their activities-from attending softball and basketball games to taking them on vacations. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and his love will be remembered always.
Preceding Larry in death are his father, Homer D. Milam and his wife, Claire; mother, Ruby J. (Crane) Milam; brother, Leroy Milam; and sister, Jo Ann Keener.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of fifty years, Bonnie Milam of Bauxite, Arkansas; daughters: Cindy Milam and partner Cole Bratton of Bauxite, Arkansas and Karen Barnard and partner Robert McCartney of Bauxite, Arkansas; granddaughters: Alycia Baker and husband Coe of Haskell, Arkansas and Sydney Barnard and partner Ethan Powell of Bryant, Arkansas; great-grandchildren: Briley Barnard, Heath Baker, and Blake Baker; siblings: Jewel Mathis of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, Don Milam and wife Vera of Bryant, Arkansas, Tommie Sue Self and husband Gary of Cabot, Arkansas, Becky Hall and husband Melvin of Bigelow, Arkansas, and Ina Milam of Bauxite, Arkansas; in-laws whom he loved as his own family; many nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends who love Larry and will miss him always.
Reception visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, June 17, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 18 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
